5 DESIGNER CAT-EYE FRAMES YOU NEED TO SEE

If it’s your first time here, you may be aware of how much I enjoy a cat-eye frame. I find them to be classic, elegant and bougie all in one. I’ve been looking around for some I could potentially add to my growing collection and, in this article, I’d like to share them with you and maybe inspire you to try some yourself.

1. Cutler and Gross

Known for their great craftsmanship, Cutler and Gross continue to impress with this tortoiseshell, acetate, cat-eye frame. Although the shape is a dramatic cat-eye (which I love), the use of a tortoiseshell tone and a thinner acetate allows for a casual, everyday look.

2. Fendi

I couldn’t decide between these two colours so I chose to show you both! I love this particular style of cat-eye frame. They’re a little more subtle (when compared with the Cutler and Gross frame above) in that they don’t have the extreme pointy cat-eye look. The black can be worn everyday, while the monogram alternative can be used on days you really want your eyewear to stand out.

3. Dita

This is likely the bougiest pair of cat-eye frames I have come across and I love them. The shape shows that they are unapologetically bold while the colourway makes them subtle enough to wear without being stared out. Pair with some photochromic lenses to effortlessly take these from optical to sunglasses.

4. Anna-Karin Karlsson

This may be the most simple looking cat-eye frame of the bunch but the details prevent it from being considered boring. The combination of black acetate and 24K gold makes this easy to style. The cross detail at the centre of the frame is simple yet chic and the curved sides inject this frame with more personality.

5. Tom Ford

This list wouldn’t be complete without a pair of sunglasses. UV protection is important all year round and these frames fulfil both style and eye health requirements. With their signature ‘T’ at the temples, this oversized, Tom Ford frame can be styled with almost any look. The tortoiseshell acts as a neutral and provides a nice alternative to a dark, black frame in a similar style.
